I had a conversation with Mr. Ghosh of CES Technologies this morning and the conversation could not have been more appropriate. His exact words were ‘That nothing can be done for our country’. A sentiment which finds echo in my own heart
Technology cannot break the political or bureaucratic barriers. And then whether it is GIS or web based tools, they lose their sheen in the grind of procuring relevant data, permissions and payments.
I think basically that enterpreneurship is not a part of our culture. We are used to being slaves. We are used to either serving or being served. Hence an intelligent, productive human being or organization is a threat to most of us. So we react and make things difficult.
