Gorakhpur Nagar Nigam tendered a work for GIS based property tax management system. For six months, the discussions, presentations carried on. All the companies were called for a technical presentation. The financial bid of the shortlisted companies was opened and we were the lowest. So, technically we were the best and pricewise, we were the lowest.
It was clear that we had won. We waited for the Letter of Intent/Work Order to come in. To no avail.After a month, we came to know unofficially that the work was earlier awarded to Rolta who could not complete it and was blacklisted. Therefore the work was re-tendered. However, after the re-tendering process was over and we were supposed to get the contract, apparently the administration has decided to give Rolta another chance to complete the job.
I mean how much more pre-posterous it can get. GNN re-tendered the job and many companies put in their time, energy, money to bid and prove themselves. And after six months GNN takes a U turn and says it is going to give Rolta another chance. So basically we were all jokers trying to get work which did not exist.
Just completely disppointing.
