The client (The Jaipur guys of course, we have no other client at the moment) have increased the scope of work ( the same story as always), pehle kuch, baad mein kuch aur. Its truly like a marriage. Before the contract is signed, the scope is limited,clear and in short everything is nice. The moment the deal is done, the demands and expectations increase with no consequent increase in cost. The moment we try to draw attention to the fact that there should be a corresponding increase in price, there is mayhem and chaos and accusations and blaming and either we quietly do the extra work or let go of the project with all the other ramifications that follow.
So we will have to see how to deal with the situation.
‘A woman is nothing’, this is a phrase which is unsaid and yet can be felt in almost all my dealings with people. Actually, one could re-phrase it to ‘ A woman without a man is nothing’. Term it as you will, the reality still exists and makes everything just so much more difficult. Can this company offer careers to ‘intelligent’ and ‘deserving’ people? I do not know.
My second and final motion of divorce will happen on the 29th this month. It is with mutual consent and I do not foresee too many hassles. A closure so to say.
And a closure is a closure. And it is important. In work contracts and in relationships which are no longer working.
