A new path

Posted by Aparna.Burjwal on 17/08/2010

My father called up and suggested that maybe if I had just been a writer, I would have been in the league of Taslima Nasrin.  I could share a smile at this comment. Sure, I have already been banished but not by a country or the media or the politicians but by my own family. The ruthlessness is similar.

The real estate guys called up (for a change the client called ) and offered ( !!) a token amount for the effort invested (at least all that studying and understanding did not go waste for once). This is of course assuming that the presentation will happen in the near future (if it exists for us).

Two exams are over for Appu. Thank God. She has another session with the psychologist scheduled for this coming saturday. Hopefully, it will support her in some way. I met one of my old Al-anon friends, Radhika over the weekend. It felt good. We chatted and took a walk. Her daughter is as old as mine and we exchanged notes on being a mother. Also of course on ‘men’. She is divorced, then re-married and its like she has come full circle. She is currently living with her father (who counts every penny spent on her) and she has learnt to live with that (amazing). As I was leaving, she offered to walk me to the main road and we parted after having one of those icecream lollies that kids love to have . Maybe its a desperate effort to capture a part of our childhood which we never truly experienced.

Arpit Sancheti (who came to visit us on behalf of Yashi) is the son of Shri H.S. Sancheti (Director, Town Planning, JDA). It is only now that we are being able to understand his arrogance, his pride, his ‘give a damn’ attitude. His father was instrumental in giving the work to Yashi.  So the fact that the ‘Sanchetis’ are a partner in Yashi needs no more proof. Its all in the family after all. ‘Business’ aise hi hota hai. At least in this country. Or maybe worldwide. That I have yet to experience.

The price matrix for the digital map products has moved forward by a mm. And we have no idea about where we will shift the office, as yet. Also how the TOD would be cleared in the bank.

The path is not very clear to me as of now.

Or maybe a new path has to be explored.

    Dear Rakesh:

We are only focussed on mitigating the damage caused to us by their company formed in camouflage. Beyond that is ir-relevant to us as on date. Thank you very much for your interest.
